What time should guests arrive?

Please arrive at 2:00 PM. There will be a welcome beverage awaiting your arrival and our ceremony will start at 2:30 PM.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

We ask that you dress in semi-formal/formal attire. With that being said, wear whatever suits your style! Also, our ceremony will be outside so please dress accordingly to the weather conditions.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Please keep in mind this is definitely a "fall wedding," and will likely be chilly! Maine weather is unpredictable this time of year. Daily high temperatures range from 53°F to 42°F, rarely falling below 31°F or exceeding 62°F. We also hope for no snow, but will embrace whatever comes our way!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place? Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Whitney Farm Estate. The ceremony will be outside on the grounds weather permitting of course. If need be, the ceremony will be moved inside. The reception will then take place in a 3,200 sq. foot HEATED barn!

What happens after the ceremony?

Immediately following the ceremony will be cocktail hour inside the barn. Guests are welcome to enjoy beverages, music and charcuterie! This will be a time when the bride, groom and remainder of the wedding party are focused on capturing the best photographs during golden hour/magic hour.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

There is plenty of parking on the property! Parking is also free! Right before the main driveway to the estate is a driveway for the property's field parking lot! We ask that all of our guests park there.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Please RSVP by October 1st at the latest. We ask that all of our guests RSVP online, through the link listed on the invitation!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love kiddos, our wedding is going to be an adult-only event. We appreciate the arrangements you made to keep the kiddos at home so you could come celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list! Our wedding is strictly RSVP only.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We have not booked any prior hotel accommodations for our guests. However, under the "Travel/Accommodations" tab of our website are local hotels and an inn we recommend you look into! For example, the Oxford Casino and Hotel is only 10 minutes from our venue!

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Of course there will be food! And LOTS of it! The menu will consist of garlic and onion steak tips, parmesan crusted haddock and vegetarian lasagna. With side options of mac and cheese, (our favorite) house salad, and dinner rolls! All served buffet style, so help yourselves! We can't forget about desserts either! We will also have cupcakes and a surprise fall treat for you all!

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, in which we will ask guests to silence and leave their phones untouched during this time. During the remainder of the wedding day absolutely feel free to capture as many special moments as you would like, we just ask that you don't disrupt our amazing photographer's work. We would love to see what you captured!

Where are you registered?

We have an open wedding registry through our wedding website on "The Knot." We also have a cash fund open for our upcoming honeymoon!

Will there be transportation assistance at the end of the wedding night?

Yes! We will offer a cab/shuttle service to assist our guests to the local hotels! We want to make sure you all can party and enjoy yourselves, but do so safely!
