The year was 2016 and Allie and Ryan both worked at the Woodbury commons outlets. Allie worked at North face and Ryan just three stores down worked at Pacsun. Ryan’s best friend at the time introduced Ryan and Allie and there was an immediate connection. After that day, Ryan and Allie hung out over Christmas break and talked often. Unfortunately, there romance didn’t last long due to Ryan committing to college several states away. Ryan went on to college and Allie graduated High school.

Fall of 2017, Allie started at the university of Rhode Island and Ryan started his Sophomore year at the university of Hartford. Allie accidentally screenshotted Ryan’s Snapchat story and Ryan messaged Allie. Ryan asked Allie why she had screenshotted his story and all Allie could respond back was oh hey. Little did they know that accident would develop into anything. Ryan and Allie started to catch up over Snapchat. Ryan a fraternity brother at the time and Allie rushed a sorority. They talked just about everyday catching up on the last several months. Fast forward to Christmas break. Ryan and Allie had plans to hangout at Allie’s house. Those plans were ruined due to Ryan’s car breaking down earlier that day and he had to walk several miles to his job while his parents picked up his car. The two weren’t able to see each other and Allie went back to college and Ryan stayed home to work.

Spring of 2018, came and went and Allie and Ryan continued to FaceTime and talk just about everyday. They realized how much they had in common and thought there could be connection between them. Allie came home from college for the summer and Ryan asked her out on a date. Not a normal date, A Ryan date which included meeting his entire family and watching a movie. Allie met Ryan’s parents and his mother had remembered her from years prior. The Crosby family welcomed Allie in from the moment she stepped into their home.

On May 14th, 2018, Allie and Ryan had gone out on their first official date. They went to a small pizza place in New City, New York. The pizza was horrible but the date was the beginning of their love story. Ryan asked Allie to be his girlfriend and Allie said yes. Ryan and Allie spent the summer exploring and getting to know each other better. August came and Allie had to make a decision to transfer colleges. At first Allie was frightened but Ryan came with her to Suny Oneonta. Ryan and Allie’s parents came to help Allie move in. Ryan and Allie’s dad were building a book case when Allie’s dad called Ryan his son. From that moment forward Allie knew she had met the one she would spend the rest of her life with. Ryan drove two and half hours every other Friday to spent time with Allie at college. Allie came home from college for Christmas break when she was invited to “Crosby Christmas”. A traditional Italian Christmas. Allie was excited to experience Christmas like the hallmark movies she and her mother watched on repeat for the entire month of December. Allie had stayed up on YouTube the night before preparing for midnight mass incase she was asked to attend.

Fast forward to Fall of 2019 when Allie moved into her first college apartment. Allie’s mother had sent her up to school with enough frozen pasta sauce to feed half the apartment complex and Ryan’s parents gave Allie enough food and cans of Raos pasta sauce so she never had to go grocery shopping. Ryan continued to visit Allie every other weekend and Allie came home when Ryan wasn’t able to come up. Ryan and his brother came up several times that semester to DJ at Allie’s older brother’s fraternity parties. The fall semester concluded and Allie came back home for Christmas break. Allie went over for her second Crosby Christmas where she was gifted her very own Christmas pajamas. Each Crosby wore the same matching pajamas on Christmas Day morning and Allie knew then she belonged in Ryan’s family.

Christmas break had ended and Spring semester of 2019 started. Allie and Ryan continued to see each other every other weekend. Ryan’s friends came up to visit Allie and became some of her closest friends as well. Allie went down to her father’s new house in South Carolina for spring break. Little did they know a global pandemic would change their lives forever. Allie moved home from college and finished junior year from her living room. Allie and Ryan continued to see each other every other day while staying cautious of the widely spreading virus. From social distancing and to go margaritas Allie and Ryan managed to make the most of this global lock down. Allie completed college on the deans list and went on to have a live streamed graduation. Ryan worked long hours at UPS but always made time for Allie.

Allie started to work as a daycare teacher for one year old children and Ryan continued to work for UPS. Allie’s mother had called a family meeting where she had told them she got a promotion but the job would move us to Tampa Florida. Allie feared for this transition but Ryan was confident this change would be best for them. Allie and her mother moved down to Tampa, Florida right after Thanksgiving and Ryan came down to live with them not shortly after. Allie and Ryan enjoyed exploring new cities and going on their adventures together.

Fast Forward to December of 2023 when Ryan’s grandfather graciously offered to take his entire family on a ten day cruise. Allie and Ryan were excited to explore a new country with their family. Little did Allie know Ryan was preparing to take the next step in their relationship. On July 4th, Ryan and Allie with their family took a ferry to one of the islands in Bermuda and they explored for the day. Ryan insisted they go back to the boat early to take pictures for his father’s birthday. Well that’s at least what he told Allie. Allie got dressed up expecting to take family pictures and celebrate July 4th together. Ryan and Allie in front of Ryan’s family went to take a photo during the sunset when Ryan got down on one knee and proposed to Allie. Allie was lost for words but was able to muster out the word yes. Allie’s family was on FaceTime and they were excited for them. The cruise to Bermuda unfortunately came to an end and they began to plan their dream nuptials.
Allie and Ryan can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
