Allison and Stephen met on the eve of Cinco de Mayo in May of 2017. Allison was out on a Thursday night in Hoboken celebrating her friend Lauren's 25th Birthday at House of Que. Stephen, having off the next day for Cinco de Mayo, decided to meet his friend Andrew (cousins with birthday girl Lauren) out for a drink after work. Allison and Stephen hit it off from the start, he even asked her to skip work the next day and come celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Hoboken, she respectfully declined but the two continued to talk and build a connection. Fast forward two weeks they had their first date in Hoboken right before Memorial Day Weekend. They spent the summer dating in Hoboken and Manasquan and when Allison moved to Hoboken at the end of August, Stephen finally made it official and asked her to be his girlfriend.
