It was a perfect Friday night in September of 2019. The only people left in the office were Jonathan and Allison. It was Allison's last day of work after nearly two years of sitting across from the hottest man she ever laid eyes on. Jonathan had decided to stay however late Allison did so he could spend as much time as possible with her on her last day. As she picked up her work bag and headed to turn off the light switch she asked Jonathan, "I'm headed out. Should I keep the lights on for you?", to which he excitedly replied, "I'll leave with you.". As they get in the elevator to say their last goodbye Jonathan starts to confess how he wishes they had more time together and feels like an opportunity is vanishing in front of him. Allison looked lovingly into his eyes wishing the same, but knowing it was too late. The elevator opens, and they hug to say goodbye and that hug turns into their beginning.

From then on they were long-distance for 6 months. This included daily multi-hour-long phone calls and texts that read like novels. Come April of 2020 the pandemic was causing people to quarantine and Allison realized she didn't know the next time she'd see Jonathan. So she calls him and asks to move in with him. Funny enough, he has been thinking of asking her the same thing. So 4 weeks later they went from long-distance to no distance.

In their time living together, they learned that Jonathan could make the bed so well quarters could bounce off the comforter and Allison always bought two of everything at the grocery store. They fell into a rhythm together very quickly, as if they had been together far longer than they had. In December of 2021 they headed to Arizona to spend Christmas with her family. Jonathan knew that he'd propose to Ally on this trip, the only question was when. They had decided to go to the Zoo as Allison has fond memories of going growing up. It was in front of the rhinos that Jonathan found the perfect spot to proclaim his love for Allison and get down on one knee. Ally started throwing off all the cheap Forever 21 rings she had on her fingers because she knew they were turning her finger green and didn’t want that to ruin the beautiful ring Jonathan had picked out. Just like when they first hugged, this moment froze time.

In March of 2023 they found out their lives would never be the same as they would be bringing a baby into the world at the end of the year. On November 28th, 2023 Makayla Joy was born and their heart now lived outside their body.
