How We Met

Picture of How We Met

How Connor and I met isn't like most stories you read about. Connor and I met online through the dating app called Bumble back in 2020. I remember my friends encouraging me to give online dating a try. Back then, I was definitely hesitant to try online dating and I wasn't very hopeful. Connor of course also ventured out and tried online dating. I don't think either of us were really expecting to meet someone who we would click with so easily and where it felt natural.

Connor and I matched and from the first conversation, it was meaningful and just easy to talk to each other. Connor asked me on a first date and he said we could meet up for a coffee date. We both wanted to meet in person, but I was going through a difficult time after the passing of my dad. I’m so thankful because Connor waited patiently for me to be ready. I’m so thankful he did!

We finally met on October 3, 2020 at a coffee shop in downtown Lawrenceville, GA called Boulder Creek. The conversation felt natural and we both shared about our lives, school, our families, and more. We ended up finding out that we both went to the same college GGC. Now, if you know Connor and I, we both are very much into video games. I joke with Connor that if he had went into the gaming room on our college campus, maybe we would've met much sooner. We became official in November 2020 and we continued our relationship. Back on June 4, 2023 Connor and I took a cruise to Alaska. It was definitely a memorable trip! On our first evening, we went to dinner, went to karaoke and got on stage together and sang the Beatles "Come Together”. Then we went for a nice walk on the top deck of the boat. We took a seat in a cozy corner that Connor had spotted out earlier that day. While we were just talking about our first day on the boat, next thing I knew Connor was down on his knee asking me to MARRY HIM! I remember saying, “What are you doing?” I was just in complete shock.

It all started back in October of 2020, and in October of 2024 we will officially become husband and wife! To say we are excited is an understatement!

Connor and I are grateful to have met each other and we are really looking forward to being surrounded by our families and friends as we become husband and wife!
