We met in 2017 while Allison was working at Westminster Community Charter School as the overwhelmed technology coordinator, and Zach was the knight in shining armor from Buffalo IT. As Allison navigated the challenges that come with outdated school technology, Zach would be the first call she made to fix the problems and save the day. After a few months of emails, texts, and phone calls about work problems, Zach finally asked Allison out for a beer and the rest is history!

Although Zach asked Allison out for beers, we didn't start dating right away. It took a combination of a new obsession with Dancing with the Stars, mutual appreciation for new beers, and a global pandemic that pushed us together. When everything shut down in 2020 for Covid-19, we remained in each other's pandemic 'bubble' and only grew closer. Despite a less-than-cute desperation haircut from Allison, he asked her to be his girlfriend in December 2020.

In July of 2024 Zach and Allison spent a week in the Fingerlakes with family (shoutout to Mack, Christine, Mason, Abby, and Julia!). We stayed in a beautiful Airbnb on Seneca Lake and spent the days swimming, relaxing, and enjoying different vineyards. One rainy day Zach and Allison broke away from the rest of the group to do some wine tastings. We traveled to 3 different locations, and Zach persistently asked to take a walk through the vineyards, or by the water, or throughout the grounds of the wineries. Allison, dismayed by the rain and concerned about her hair getting wet, absolutely did not want to walk in the rain and thwarted all of Zach's plans to propose. Frustrated, they returned back to the airbnb where luckily the rain had stopped and the sun came out. The rest of the family was still out on another adventure, so Zach and Allison walked down to the dock to sit and relax on the water. Finally, after a long and strenuous day of arguing over hair getting wet in the rain, Zach knelt down in the sunshine at the end of the dock and asked Allison to marry him.

We will be honeymooning to Hawaii in September 2025! We will be spending two weeks traveling between the islands, snorkeling, hiking, and seeing all the sights!
