On December 30, 2011, I went to meet some friends at the Mai Kai Polynesian Restaurant for happy hour. I was still in grad school at FSU at the time (Go Noles!), but was home for Christmas break. My friend, Katie, and I got there first and took some seats at the bar. A short time later our friends arrived wearing hawaiian shirts in an effort to "blend" with the Polynesian vibe of the restaurant. A guy I had never met before arrived with them and took the seat next to me. After a little while, I decided to introduce myself, not knowing that a little more than 3 years later, this man would propose to me at the same restaurant. He'll tell you it was all a part of his plan to make me introduce myself first; I'll tell you it was the best decision I've ever made!-That's what she said

We have a wedding block available at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Ft. Lauderdale for the nights of May 6th and May 7th. The deadline to book the hotel through the Buchanan-Kanelidis block is April 6, 2016. Once the block is filled, the rates will be subject to availability. The blocked rooms are the Marina Pool view for $149++, and self parking is available at a reduced rate of $15 per night.
