Have you booked a hotel block for guests?
We have a block of rooms at the Hilton Atlanta/ Marietta Hotel & Conference Center and at the Country Inn & Suites in Hiram, GA. For more information, please see the "Travel" section of the website.
What is the address for the wedding ceremony and reception venue?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Cotton Gin at Mill Creek. The address is 1817 Hiram Douglasville Highway, Hiram, GA, 30141.
The venue looks a bit like a storefront from the road. Parking and the ceremony site are in the back of the venue.
Is there parking available at the venue?
There is parking available in the back of the venue. If you are drinking, there will be a shuttle service provided so you do not have to worry about driving back to the hotels. There are no Ubers in Hiram, so please plan accordingly. Any cars left at the venue must be picked up by 10 AM Sunday, June 2.
Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?
There will be a shuttle service from both hotels to and from the venue. It is first come, first serve, and there is room for 56 guests. Please see the "Shuttle" section of the website. Both hotels will also have copies of the shuttle service timeline.
What is the wedding day itinerary?
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM. Cocktail hour will begin immediately after the ceremony, followed by dinner and dancing at the reception. Send-off will be at 10:00 PM.
What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony.
What type of food will be served?
There will be light appetizers at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a chicken entree. Please let the bride and groom know of any dietary restrictions or if you would like a vegan/ vegetarian entree.
What is the dress code?
Please dress in formal attire. Please do not wear white or jeans.
What colors are the wedding party wearing?
The bridesmaids are wearing sage green. The groom and the groomsmen are wearing light blue.
Is the wedding ceremony and reception venue accessible?
The venue is accessible, though there are a couple of stairs that must be navigated. There will be a golf cart available to escort guests down to the ceremony site and up to the reception. At the reception, there will be a couple of stairs to climb to get to the seating.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, only those specifically listed on the invitation will be able to attend.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. Cocktail hour and the reception will be indoors.
Will there be a meal option for people with allergies or dietary restrictions?
Yes. Please let the bride and groom know of any allergies or dietary restrictions (such as vegan or vegetarian) when you RSVP by April 20.
Do you have a wedding registry?
Yes. It is available on our website under "Registry."
Where should we bring/ send our gifts to?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you choose to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to the bride's home at 955 Leighs Brook Way, Dacula, GA 30019. There will be a card box at the wedding reception.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We are having an unplugged ceremony. Please refrain from using your phone or taking pictures during the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many pictures as you would like, and please share them with the bride and groom.
Am I allowed to post wedding photos on social media?
Please post whatever pictures you would like. Please tag the bride and groom or share your photos. We would love to see what you capture.
