After many years of dating many people have asked “How did y’all meet at such a young age.”

One day my good friend, Corinne Pruett Malnivosky showed me Brandt’s profile on Instagram I thought he was cute but didn't overthink it. A week went on, and I saw him at a baseball tournament, so I decided I’d add him as a friend on Instagram. Of course, he accepted the friend request but nothing came about it. A couple of weeks passed by, and Brandt directly messaged me on Instagram and asked for my Snapchat, and of course I waited a day and played hard to get it and then proceeded to give it to him. Once again, nothing came about. At this point, I knew nothing was going anywhere. Except for one night, I got a snap text saying, “What do you look like,”. I was so taken aback by this and in true sassy Allison fashion I said, “You have my Instagram, go look on there” Of course the man Brandt is, he didn’t like that response and my sassiness and didn’t respond.

Well, I guess he went and stalked my Instagram like I told him to and a couple of days later he started talking to me more and wanted to meet at the Hallettsville Baseball Field for a junior league game with some friends. My friend Corinne came with me since she instigated it all. I was able to meet his best friends Jack, Nunu, and Garrett. Sparks flew, we went on a couple of dates, and on July 8th, 2015, he asked me to be his girlfriend outside of the Swiss Alps Dance Hall.

Through the eight years of dating, we made it through a long-distance relationship with many trips to College Station and Brandt coming to Huntsville. Brandt played college baseball, I started nursing school and we went through lots of trials and tribulations through these eight years. Not every day was beautiful, but the beautiful part is going through these ups and downs, good days and bad days with someone I get to be with forever.
