Tristan and Allison met at Appalachian State University when they were both sophomores in 2018. They were in an honors literature class and bonded over their eccentric professor. They reconnected in June 2019 and have been together since!

Their first date was at Espresso News and continued to the Red Onion and Allison forcing Tristan to watch the first of many reality TV shows. They dated all throughout their senior year enjoying football games and hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

After graduation, they continued to date long distance for 3 years while Allison was in occupational therapy school and Tristan worked in Charlotte. On May 2nd, 2023, Tristan asked Allison to marry him at Trocadero in Paris, France.
