Nick and I met at a Boston bar called Finn McCool’s. While sadly it has closed, we will never forget how our story began at this watering hole for Philadelphia Eagles fans. On a fateful Sunday in December, my best friend Rachel and I ended up at this establishment. I walked in wearing a pink fur scarf among a sea of green Eagles jerseys. Rachel and I noticed a table of fun, lively guys and began chatting with them. I was struck by the quieter one of the group who had a kind smile and all the patience in the world to talk to a girl who was demanding leaving during a pivotal part of the football game for a nice glass of wine at a Christmas hotel bar. As Nick and I chatted, I learned the geography of New Jersey and understood why he was so passionate about the Philadelphia Eagles. More importantly, I learned that this guy and I had some pretty important things in common. Aside from a shared love of cheesesteaks and Christmas, Nick and I discovered how much family and our values are important to us. Later that night, Nick agreed to the glass of wine at a Christmas hotel bar where we admired an amazing Gingerbread House on display. I may have broken off a tiny piece of it that evening and was relieved that I had just met a lawyer. After that night, Nick and I continued to go on dates and began building a strong friendship with one another. We are so excited to begin our married life together, build our family, and create more memories together! I will be forever thankful that I walked into that bar…
