Q + A

Where is the wedding venue?

Wilson Farm 19897 SE Tillstrom Road Damascus, Oregon 97089 The city can be interchangeable between Damascus, Or. and Boring, Or.

What will there be for food and drinks?

We are looking to have a more ‘family get together’ vibe vs such a formal affair. We will be serving pizza from a local favorite as well as a dessert table! There will be water along with soda and other assorted drinks. Due to the extra cost for insurance and bar tending fees, there won’t be any alcohol served. That being said, we do have an approval for a signature cocktail toast if you would like to partake!

What should I wear?

It’s August and will more than likely be hot! Summer dresses and nicer casual clothing would be appropriate. Not saying that any of you would, but please don’t wear white or mostly white! Wilson Farm is an outdoor venue, so sandals or tennis shoes would probably be best! There is a bit of forest to tromp through if you’d like to explore (with respect to the owners and venue)!

It's a farm, will there be animals?

Yes, Wilson Farm is a working farm and there are animals! You may be able to spot their donkeys, pigs, chickens or even goats! Please be respectful and careful around the animals, as we don’t want anything to happen to either of you! Also, there is an electric fence wire on the outside of an enclosure so keep an eye on the kids!

I want to give a gift, what should I bring?

We are combining two households, so we don’t really have too much we need. We would love donations towards a honeymoon/vacation fund! There is a link on our registry page as well as a box for cash/check donations at the venue.

Parking!

The venue owner will be assisting in directing traffic for parking. There is limited parking, so carpooling is EXREMELY helpful! Please be mindful of the lack of space, so please park close and don't park in the middle of the driveway :) There will be signs posted as well.

Will this be an 'Unplugged' ceremony?

We are paying a decent amount of money for a photographer so there will be an 'Unplugged' ceremony. Please refrain from pulling your cell phone/cameras out at any point during the ceremony. If you see someone doing it, kindly ask them to put it away. HOWEVER! Please feel free to take pictures of yourself and your loved ones (and us!) during the celebration, either before or after the ceremony itself! We aren't fancy and don't have a #hashtag, but you can always tag Allison on Facebook [if it's a good pic ;)] since Gabe doesn't have one! We look forward to having treasured family and friend pictures with all of you.
