Fiona Campbell attended the University of Portland with Allison. They met while studying abroad in Salzburg Austria. Fiona was the first of Allison's friends to meet Christoph

Allison and Meg were roommates at institute for Teach for America. They got along so well that they became housemates for the two years they taught at IDEA DONNA College Prep.

Liz was one of the first people Allison met at the University of Portland. They struggled through their freshman German course together to study abroad in Austria. Following graduation Liz and Allison both worked as language assistants in Germany and spent the holidays exploring Europe together.

"Paule" has been friends with Christoph since University where they studied together in Metz. Paule was the first of Christoph's friends to meet Allison.

Allison's brother Paul has had a lot of fun with "The German."

Clint and Allison went to university together and studied together in Salzburg. Allison and Christoph have made it a tradition to visit Clint wherever he is living- be it Senegal or San Francisco.
