"Black-Tie Encouraged" means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (an evening gown or tuxedo) but may also choose to wear a formal suit or cocktail dress instead. Generally, a black-tie encouraged dress code means that the couple and their wedding party will be dress in black-tie. It's therefore courteous for guests to reflect this level of formality in their attire.
Are children welcome?
We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. While we love all the children in our lives, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration, with the exception of our nieces and nephews. We encourage you to take this as a weekend get-away! If you have any questions, please reach out.
Can I bring a date?
We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.
When do we need to RSVP by?
We ask that you RSVP by September 16, 2024.
Where should I stay?
Please visit the travel section of the website.
Are there Ubers in the area?
The wedding is located in a small mountain town. Ubers and Lyfts are available, but are not guaranteed. To ensure your safety, we are planning to provide a shuttle that will pick up guests at a select location/s. Please contact Allison or Kate no later than October 30th if you need a spot. Additionally, there is parking located on site. But if you plan to party hard with us, please plan to use the arranged transportation or have a DD.
Will the festivities be inside or outside?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside so all of our guests can enjoy the breathtaking views. The reception will be inside, but also features a wrap-around porch.
November in the mountains can be chilly so please plan accordingly for being outside 1.5-2 hours. We will have a few outdoor heaters.
What is the best airport to fly into?
While the Asheville airport is the closest, we are unsure if flights will be impacted due to Hurricane Helene. We have confirmed roads are drivable between the airport and our venue.
Additional airport options are in Greenville, SC which is about two hours from our venue, or Atlanta which is a little over three hours from our venue.
If you have questions related to the storm, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. But rest assured, we have confirmed with our venue there is no damage and it is safe to visit.
