Allison's friend, Laura, texted her a random picture of Tyler's shoes at a New Years Eve party in 2014. She said "I think I just met your husband". The rest is history.. JK! There's more to the story!

Tyler was in Laura's small group at church and she asked Allison if she could give him her number because she thought they'd hit it off. Tyler texted Allison a few days later and they got to know each other through text since Allison still lived in Cleveland. They finally met in person in February 2015 and ran a 5K together in Memphis that April. They kept talking and decided that they wanted to keep getting to know each other. Their first official date together was May 2, 2015 where they met halfway for dinner in Tunica.

Allie had decided earlier in the year, before meeting Tyler, she was moving to Collierville that August. After moving, Allison struggled with all of the big changes and adjustments of a new life away from Cleveland. A couple of weeks of trying to work through things, she realized she needed to be single and grow on her own and ended things with Tyler. It wasn't easy on either of them.

Because they still both went to Harvest Church and had some of the same mutual friends, Tyler and Allie talked off and on throughout the next few years. Even though they had been on separate dates and in and out of relationships with other people, it seemed like their paths kept crossing.

Fast forward to August of 2021, almost 7 years later! Allie reached out to Tyler and asked if he wanted to grab dinner and catch up. They were both surprised at how easy it was to talk. That same month, their new Sunday School class at church started up. This allowed them to spend more time together as their class planned many outings.

In October after several group hang outs, they decided to give dating another shot. They had a lot of intentional conversations very early to make sure this was something they wanted to pursue again. 6 months was all they needed. :)

Now, the rest is history!
