Last fall, while taking a class at Mount Liberty College, Levi was assigned to create three different life plans. The first two came easily—but the third? Out of ideas, Levi jokingly imagined a future where he’d drop out of college, join a band, and fall in love with and marry the drummer. It became a running joke between him and his roommate Daniel, especially during their frequent talks about the challenges of dating.Meanwhile, after a few life changes of her own, Allie decided—at the suggestion of her good friend (and now maid of honor), Gabbi—to try out a dating app. After a string of awkward dates, she was about to delete the app when a message popped up. It was from Daniel. He wasn’t reaching out for himself, though—he wanted to know if she’d be willing to go on a date with his roommate, Levi. One of Allie’s profile pictures showed her playing the drums, and Daniel couldn’t ignore the irony: the very girl Levi had joked about years before might just be real.Intrigued, Allie agreed to the date. She and Levi met on March 26th, and just a few days later, on April 5th, they made it official. From that point on, their connection only deepened. They shared laughter, music, late-night talks, and dreams of the future—until June 25th, when Levi (with the help of some very sneaky friends) surprised Allie with a proposal.Though their time together so far has been short, they know with absolute certainty that they are meant to spend eternity together. Their journey began with a joke—but it became the love story they’d both been hoping for.
