It all started at church—which, honestly, feels like a pretty great place to meet someone.There was no rom-com moment—no spilled coffee, no slow-motion glances during worship. Just two people showing up, serving faithfully, and doing their best with what God had placed in front of them.Looking back, it’s clear: He was in the details.At the time, though, we just thought,“Wow… this person is actually really fun to be around.”We started spending more time together—and somehow, tennis became our thing.Neither of us is going pro anytime soon (especially Allie), but those hours on the court became a space where something special started to grow. We talked about everything: life, faith, our dreams, our fears, and occasionally, who was better at tennis.Somewhere between the laughing and the long rallies, it became clear:We weren’t just friends anymore.We were best friends.And that changed everything.Our friendship became the foundation for everything that followed. We shared dinners at our favorite restaurants, played with Caleb’s dogs, Dixie and Chesapeake (who quickly decided they liked Allie best), and served side by side—pouring into middle and high school students through countless hours of ministry.When Allie moved into her new house, Caleb was there—sweaty, tired, and exactly the kind of steady you hope for in someone you’re building a life with. That day wasn’t glamorous, but it felt like a glimpse of what marriage might look like: partnership, presence, and joy in the ordinary.There were big moments, too—like the night Caleb sat across from Allie’s parents at Logan’s Roadhouse to ask for their blessing. Her dad told him a story about some rocks—lessons, values, and a little fatherly wisdom hidden in a metaphor that said, “Take care of her.”So, when we started dating, we both knew something important:We weren’t dating just to “see where it goes.”We only wanted to date with the intention of marriage.From the beginning, it wasn’t about impressing each other with our best sides—it was about being honest, prayerful, and intentional (with just a sprinkle of awkward first-date energy, of course).Yes, we’ve only been dating a short time.No, we didn’t “wait the standard two years” to get engaged.But when your relationship is built on friendship—and most importantly, faith—things move differently.We both knew:This is it.This is the person I’ve prayed for.So here we are—getting married, and beyond excited for everything ahead.If you’re wondering what changed from when we were “just friends,” the answer is… not much, honestly.We still serve together at church.Still play tennis.Still laugh way too much at our own jokes.Still argue over where to eat.Still love on Dixie and Chesapeake like they’re our own.Only now, we get to call it love.And soon, we’ll get to call it forever.

What should you wear?We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us. Our wedding dress code is Garden Party Formal. Gentlemen - We kindly ask that you wear a suit (with or without a tie) or a dress shirt with trousers. Ladies - Long dresses, dressy separates, or midi-cocktail dresses are all great! We would love to see all the florals and spring colors!Please be mindful that the ceremony will be outside on grass.We also ask you to leave your whites, and any hats at home.
