Ethan and Allison met in high school and were fast friends. They grew closer as high school went on and graduated best friends. After high school, Ethan went on to play football at Concordia University Saint Paul and Allison began pursuing a career in Education at the University of Minnesota. Throughout college, Allison went to all of Ethan’s football games and frequently took the light-rail to visit him. Sophomore year, they made things official and began dating! Junior year, Allison and Ethan were together more often then not, leading to them moving in together their senior years. Covid hit later that year and living together made the pandemic much easier for both.

Both Allison and Ethan pursued Masters degrees. Allison finished her masters of education in the spring of 2021. She got her first teaching job as a Pre-k teacher in North Minneapolis. Ethan finished out his second Graduate assistant season at Concordia and quickly got a job coaching in Iowa with Waldorf University.

We have been long distance since then as Ethan has continued to move up in his career as he went from Offensive Line Coach to Offensive Coordinator. We have had tough seasons and smooth ones, but we welcome each and every moment together.

Ethan proposed October 21st, 2023 and Allison was so surprised! She had no idea Ethan even had the ring yet. It was a perfectly intimate backyard proposal with Ethan’s sister Emily and Allison’s sister Megan jumping out from behind the house and some bushes to surprise Allison afterwards. Since then we have been celebrating, wedding planning and looking forward to what the future holds!
