Adam and Allie were acquaintances through church for most of their childhoods, but it wasn't until their senior year of high school that they really got to know one another. They spent time together with mutual friends at summer camp, and soon became close. Adam ended up transferring to Allie's high school for their senior year, and was at home with Atascadero friends.

Adam and Allie's friendship was so natural and grew deep quickly. Soon enough, Adam saw that their friendship could develop into something more. However, Allie insisted that any romantic relationship be avoided, out of fear of losing her important friendship. Adam continued pursuing a close relationship with Allie for the next year, and their connection grew.

When Allie left for college in the fall of 2011, Adam did not stop pursing her. He visited and kept in touch, and Allie's college friends knew that there was something special about Adam by the way Allie talked about him. The summer after their freshman year of college, Adam took a six week trip to Costa Rica and Peru with a friend, while Allie traveled to Europe with a friend. The time apart gave them both a chance to evaluate their relationship, and spend time in prayer about the potential for their relationship. When they returned to California, Adam and Allie could not wait to spend time together, and for the rest of the summer were inseparable.

On October 28th, 2012, after years of patient pursuit of a relationship with Allie, Adam asked her to be his girlfriend. Allie confidently agreed, knowing that this relationship with her best friend would not be one to wither easily. Over the next three years, Adam and Allie deepened their relationship and their love for one another, seeking to honor the Father through their interactions. They have shared many adventures and memories with their friends and families, including sky diving and traveling to Germany and Hawaii. They have served together in ministry at Hume Lake Christian Camps, Costa Rica Mission Trip, and Skate Church.

Allie graduated from Azusa Pacific University in December 2015, and moved back to the Central Coast, allowing her and Adam to happily finish the long distance period of their relationship. On March 13, 2016, Adam and Allie traveled to Yosemite Valley for a day trip. While walking around, taking in the brilliant view of creation, Adam asked Allie to be his wife, and spend the rest of her life with him--again, she confidently agreed.

After six years of close friendship and just shy of four years of committed relationship, Adam and Allie are eager to begin their lives together as husband and wife, and will be getting married on September 17, 2016,
