Our journey began in 2016, in a season of deep loss for both of us. We connected after the passing of a parent, leaning on one another through grief and heartache. What started as simple check-ins grew into a steady, comforting friendship—one where we always seemed to “get” each other, even when the world didn’t.
Over time, our connection deepened. We became best friends, often sharing the kind of meaningful, conversations that felt far beyond our years. Through it all, Michael was endlessly kind, always showing up for me with compassion and quiet strength. I tried to deny the pull between us—long-distance wasn’t an easy road—but our friendship was already a strong foundation, and love only built upon it.
What truly sealed it was seeing how Michael loved and cared for my son, Andrew. His patience, his gentleness, his joy in the little moments—they made it impossible to ignore what was so clearly meant to be. Michael has not only become the love of my life, but also an incredible stepdad. Watching him love Andrew like his own showed me the kind of man, partner, and father he is—and the kind of husband he will be.
We know life will bring challenges, but with our deep friendship, shared faith, and God’s grace guiding us, we trust that our marriage will be filled with strength, laughter, and love. This is only the beginning of our forever, and we couldn’t be more excited to take this next step.
