Sam and Alli met in October of 2019 through Hinge—
Alli was Sam’s first hinge date
Sam was Alli’s 3rd date in 3 days

Our first date at keg and Case market in Saint Paul was filled with dark beer and interrogation of questions from Sam

We enjoyed each other so much, we continued our date down the street at a dive bar with Cajun fries and live music. Alli was sick with hand, foot, mouth and choked on the fries seasoning.

After less than 2 weeks- Sam asked Alli to be his girlfriend while she was sick on the couch with an IV in her arm.

Over the years we have enjoyed BWCA trips, walks with Rora, cooking, house projects, and documentaries on TV.

In February 2023, Alli last minute got work off to go to our dear friends Ryan and Nikki’s family cabin in Crosslake. Saturday morning, Sam had ants in his pants while Alli was trying to have a slow morning. Sam stared down Alli as she was putting on makeup for the day when Alli snapped and told him to relax since they’re suppose to be on a relaxing cabin weekend.

Sam insisted on going snow shoeing on the lake with Rora. They started walking when Alli looked at Sam and asked why he was walking so slow on their walk. She figured they would never make it across the lake with him meandering.

Sam then got down on one knee and ask Alli if she wanted to argue for the rest of their life on how slow he walks and marry each other. Alli (and Rora) said yes!

We now live in Crystal, MN in a house we bought from our previous landlord. We have slowly been renovating the 1954 house. We have met fabulous neighbors.

Sam continues to work at Target headquarters in supply chain. Alli is pursuing her doctorate degree in nursing practice focused in acute care. She works part time in the hospital in the emergency department, rapid response, or ICU.

Rora is ecstatic her mother has found her match. She loves all of the food sam shares with her and belly rubs.
