How We Met

Allison and Rick's paths first crossed at a national tennis tournament where Allison was volunteering and Rick was competing. Rick, known for his easygoing nature and ability to strike up conversations with anyone, approached Allison during check-in. Despite his charm, Allison, feeling a bit shy, didn't share much about herself. Their interaction was brief, and they didn't meet again for another year.

The following year, Allison was volunteering at the same tournament and had the chance to check Rick in again. This time, she watched him play his matches, and though she was impressed by his skills on the court, they didn't talk anymore that year.

However, it wasn't until the third year that their story truly began. Rick, eager to meet someone special, asked the Tennis Pro about Allison. Although he regretted the question immediately, feeling embarrassed about the uncharacteristic boldness, fate had other plans. The Tennis Pro introduced Rick to Allison, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Their Journey Together

Since that fateful introduction, Allison and Rick have built a partnership that bridges the distance between Toledo, Ohio and St. Petersburg, Florida—a distance of 986 miles. Their relationship has flourished through shared experiences, laughter, and unwavering support for each other. In 2023, during a vacation in Tuscany, Rick proposed, marking the start of a brand new adventure. They are now excited to embark on this next chapter of their lives, surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends.
