They met in 2016, at Habitat

Where together they built many a house.

Here’s the story, of two friends who worked,

Together alongside for two whole years

With growing affection

Until Michael left for a new career.

Then they finally started dating,

Seeing each other as much as they could.

Enjoying snowdays and many dates

Falling deep in love as they should.

Then Ali went to grad school

and they were long-distance

making the driving back and forth

Looking forward to coexistence

Which happened in 2021

With John the cat, who never gave a cheer,

Living under the same roof

For Michael, oh no, he was filled with fear!

After some time, they needed a change

So the three moved to Ohio state

Where they started some new jobs

And bought a house that they think is so great

And they adopted Archie, a kitty so sweet,

In August of twenty-four, they said, “I do!”

They drove to Columbus to make it official

For benefits, yes, but their love is ever true!

That’s the story of Ali and Michael’s way,
