Our Wedding

Paul and Allie met during their junior year at Florida Southern College while on a shift at the Wellness Center. Paul invited Allie to a barbecue, Allie accepted because she heard "free food". After that night, Paul asked Allie to lunch and she believed he was just trying to feed her. But they both made their feelings clear and ended up dating. After graduating from FSC, the two went off into their lives, Paul at Fort Benning and Allie at WDHN in Dothan, AL. When the time came for Paul to leave Fort Benning for Fort Hood, Allie received a job offer from a TV station in Waco. A coincidence? Who knows. After being in Texas for a day together, Allie and Paul adopted their fur child Bear. Later that year, Paul called Peter (Allie's Dad) to ask his permission to propose, and to ask about a food recipe. The two got engaged Christmas morning of 2021, and are ready to begin their lives as husband and wife.

This is the hotel we (Allie and Paul) will be staying at, along with the wedding party. We know that the nightly price may seem a bit pricey to some family and friends. After speaking with most hotels in the area, this hotel was the best rate we could negotiate for the most amount of rooms for the time of year, as it is high season in Southwest Florida. The Crowne Plaza does have a free 24-hour shuttle to and from the Fort Myers International Airport and a free shuttle to the massive shopping center across the road from the hotel. Those choosing to stay at the Crowne Plaza will not have to worry about transportation for the entirety of the wedding weekend. It also has a pool, hot tub, fire pit, full-service bar and restaurant in the hotel, newly renovated rooms, and included breakfast. *If you are able to find a room at this hotel for a better rate than the room block rate (whether it’s with a military discount or through a third-party booking site), please feel free to book the room at the rate you find. You are then able to call the hotel and let them know you’re reservation was made for the O’Connor Cribbs wedding, and they will label your reservation as a wedding guest. Weekend Itinerary

We will be convening at the Crowne Plaza around 8 p.m. on Friday, February 23, for a small welcome celebration. This is a time for guests to spend with Allie and Paul before the big day. This will be after the rehearsal dinner and it will be a cash bar. Feel free to come say hello and have a night cap before getting a good night's sleep for the big day! We will also have s'mores ingredients as the hotel as an outdoor fire pit. This is open to everyone, not just those choosing to stay at the Crowne Plaza. We know many of you will be staying at other hotels, friends homes, or rental properties but this is open to everyone who would like to join!

Welcome Drinks at the Crowne Plaza

Lots of shops, restaurants, and other fun activities to do before and after the wedding. The Crowne Plaza hotel has a free shuttle to bring guests to Town Center.

Gulf Coast Town Center

If you are staying closer to the venue, have transportation, or don't mind taking an Uber/Lyft, this store is a great experience to take in before or after the big day. It is not your regular grocery store and also have live music on some nights. You can eat, drink, and shop items that you won't see in your normal grocery store. If you have time while you are in town for the celebration, this is definitely one you won't want to miss!
