Allison and Tyler both worked at the movie theater in Manhattan. When Allison was 17 and Tyler was 20, they began a blossoming friendship. They went to a movie for their first date and their first kiss was in theater 7 at the Seth Childs Cinema. On January 4th, 2014 they officially announced that they were dating.

When Allison and Tyler first started dating, their friend Josh always wore this one blue tie-dye shirt. He and Tyler made a bet to see how long Josh could go with me only seeing him in this tie-dye shirt. He even went as far as to buy a blue tie-dyed sweatshirt and make a homemade blue tie-tyed dress shirt when he went with Tyler to Allison's dance recital. On November 25th, 2017, Tyler drove Allison to the scenic overlook at Tuttle Creek Lake during sunset. As they walked up to the overlook Josh walked out in his blue tie-dye shirt that had white lettering saying, "Will you marry Bo?" (a nickname that some people call Tyler because of his last name, Bowman). Tyler got down on one knee and pulled out a stunning ring. Allison immediately said yes and when Josh turned around the back of his shirt said, "She said yes".
