Their story began in high school, when Allison was a senior and Chris was a sophomore at Georgia-Cumberland Academy. They met at the beginning of the 2018/2019 school year, but it wasn’t until the end of February that they got to know each other, when they both participated in the European study tour of 2019. The two admired the beauties of England, Scotland, and Wales as they began to learn more about European culture, and each other. The two shared a strong interest in Conwy castle, once they experienced its captivating draw, first hand. This is where they dove into deeper conversations that brought many emotions to them both. One could say that this is where the love story truly began. It became obvious that the two were becoming more than friends, and were experiencing great connection. It wasn’t until the ninth of May in 2019 that Chris asked Allison to be his girlfriend, officially. Allison has been hoping for this day tremendously, and the two months it took felt like an eternity to her. Little did she know how nervous Chris had been to ask her. After high school, Allison pursued nursing school, and Chris created his own business in painting and pressure washing. Taking a jump into time, Allison became an LPN and began her practice as an emergency department nurse at Hamilton medical Center in Dalton, and Chris chose to persue a career with Calhoun fire department as a fireman.
The two planned a beautiful trip to the Amalfi Coast in September of 2024. Allison was secretly hoping that Chris would propose on this trip, but he took her by complete surprise when he decided to do so on the balcony of the apartment that they were staying at, with the gorgeous view of the city and ocean in the background.
The two are currently living in Calhoun together with Sophie the golden doodle and Lola the lab mix, as well as their leopard gecko, bearded dragon, and an African clawed frog that Allison has miraculously had since the 3rd grade.
The two could not be more thrilled for their wedding day that they have been anticipating for quite some time. They wish to thank those who have been by their side and have been part of their support system during these six years.
