Matthew and Allison have the classic "Charleston Love Story." A Citadel cadet and College of Charleston girl. They met in September of 2018 through mutual friends and have been inseparable since.

The first night they met, there was an instant connection. A singular night of dancing, talking, beach walking and drinking.. changed everything. The days that followed consisted of shark teeth hunting, nights in the Citadel's library and quick weekends that passed too fast.

Matt made their relationship official on November 24th, 2018 at the Clemson/Carolina Game. Ally's passion for travel and Matt's commitment to the Citadel tested their love for the next six months. After reuniting in May of 2019, Matt decided to spend the summer in Charleston while working full time.

Fast forward to April of 2020 when the world was shutting down; Matt and Ally officially move in together. They work through the emotions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. School accomplishments, birthdays, life achievements and not being able to celebrate with others due to it not being safe/permitted. They grew even closer by learning to celebrate life accomplishments with only each other or with close friends and family. Matthew graduated from the Citadel in May of 2020. Ally graduated from the College of Charleston in May of 2021.

Matt and Ally bought their first home together in North Charleston in May of 2021. They are now navigating adulthood, going back to school, changing careers and growing their relationship piece by piece and animal by animal.
