Our Wedding

Where do we even start?

Although we are sure that we crossed paths at the arena, and Alli had heard of 'Austin' through her ringette friends growing up, it wasn't until both of us going to Glendale High School that we officially met. We knew of each other during our first couple years of high school, had a couple of classes together, mutual friends, but Halloween of 2013 was where it all began.   Everyone was planning to attend a party that ended up getting cancelled last minute, Alli was dressed up as the Jamacian Bobsled Team with friends Jess, Colton and Zach. So of course, there had to be an alternative to ensure they could show off the costume. The boys connected with Austin, who was with some other mutual friends, and they all decided to head to 'the barn' to have their own Halloween party. That was the night 'The Clan' was born - the name given to our high school friend group.   From that point on the group was inseparable. We grew closer throughout grade 11 and 12, spending most weekends together with the rest of The Clan, likely found in the barn. Leading up to grade 12 prom, we were both single and decided that we would go to prom together so that we could have a fun night with friends (not realizing that there were other reasons why we wanted to go together).   As prom grew closer, we did too. By the time prom came around, we were 'together' but had not made it official, and thought that nobody else knew (they knew). The first day of high school exams, almost 10 years ago, we 'officially' started dating.   Since then, we have moved away to university, moved home, and then into the barn. Went to school again, got engaged (in the barn) and bought our first home shortly after. Over the past 10 years, we've grown, learned, laughed and loved, A LOT - and we cannot wait to celebrate this next big milestone with all of you at this extremely special place to us (the barn).

Emily is Alli's older sister, and built in best friend. These 2 have been attached at the hip since the day Alli was born. Emily is like a second mother, but also Alli's role model, stylist, biggest supporter and partner in crime. Their bond has only continued to grow stronger (if that is even possible) as they have grown older. Emily and her husband recently welcomed Alli & Austin's first niece into this world, and they all could not love little Isla more.

Emily Feeney

Victoria is Alli's best friend since childhood. They met playing ringette together when they were just 4 years old. Their equal weirdness attracted each other way back then, and the rest is history. She is the ying to Alli's yang, the Garth to her Wayne (if you know, you know), and the 'YES" to all of her crazy ideas. Victoria has been there for all of the biggest moments in Alli's life, so it's no question that she will be standing with her on the biggest day!

Victoria Hanson

Austin's right hand, formed through a childhood friendship that continues to evolve today. Braden is a calculated and sincere guy, a true gentleman. Their shared passion for sports, particularly the game of hockey, no doubt persuaded them to head in similar directions of life. Alli and Braden became friends in high school and over time have also grown close. There was no question who would be standing beside Austin during his biggest day yet.

Braden Hutchison

Tyler is on the extreme short list of genuinely good people. Always reliable and never flakey, he is someone Austin and Alli both know would drop everything to help a stranger in a time of need. A childhood friend of Austin's, sparked by an altercation between the two during a mini-stick hockey game. He made this the easiest choice of the entire planning process, and they are honoured to have him standing with them during the big day.
