The story of Brandon and Allison begins in an unlikely place – at an Asian food stand that had run out of forks. During their first date, Brandon and Allison had to get to know each while simultaneously avoiding getting soy sauce stains on their clothes.

Still, they connected. Some of their early highlights include petting baby cows, exploring caves, and bonding over their shared weakness to sunburn. Allison introduced Brandon to Starbucks Refreshers, Oola bowls, and Taylor Swift, while Brandon made Allison sit through movies that were way longer than she would prefer. The early days of their relationship created lasting memories, such as when Allison got sinkholes and blackholes confused while driving (much to Brandon’s confusion) and Brandon locked his phone in Allison’s apartment and had to stage a break-in.

By Summer 2023, Brandon was ready to pop the question. He planned to do so on a romantic sunset beach walk during their annual beach trip. Two problems arose: first, a stranger’s wedding was taking place on the beach during their walk, which had to be avoided. Secondly, Brandon didn’t have a good window to retrieve the ring from his pocket without Allison noticing. Thinking on his feet, he pointed out into the ocean waves and claimed to see dolphins swimming off shore. This proved to be too effective, as Allison spent over half a minute squinting into the distance and wandering toward the breakers in pursuit of spying a dolphin, all while Brandon waited agonizingly on one knee in the sand.

Today, the couple spend their time hiking, tending to their virtual Stardew Valley farm, and taking care of their high maintenance cat, Mia. They can’t wait until the day of their ceremony to tie the knot and begin the rest of their lives together.
