The Engagement

For Matt's birthday, Ally got them tickets to see the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in St. Louis. She booked hotel, planned the meals and everything else. Until one day, Matt asked if he could plan their Saturday night plans. He told Ally that he wanted to take her to a cool 360 rooftop bar by the Arch then off to The Hill for dinner. While on the rooftop admiring the Arch, Matt mentioned that they should go take a picture by it. After finishing their drinks, they walked to the Arch. Matt ran ahead to ask this group of friends to take their picture. Ally handed the group her phone and when she turned around he was down on one knee asking her to marry him!! After tears, laughter and one big yes, they headed to the Hill for dinner. Ally called her mom and both her sisters. They were all SO excited!!!!They walked into the restaurant and the first people they saw were Ally's parents in from Chicago and Matt's from Omaha. They all had a great big Italian meal together and celebrated. It was the best day ever! The next day they went on a tour of Busch Stadium, ate dinner at Budweiser Brewery and saw Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band which if you know anything about Matt and Ally you'd know that the baseball (specially the Cardinals), Budweiser beer and Bruce are their 3 favorite B's. This officially makes the weekend of March 5th, 2016 the best weekend Ally and Matt have ever had.

Free breakfast and next to my hometown! Also if you are interested in extending your stay, the same rates for our wedding block still apply! You will just need to reach out to the hotel directly for that. Please let us know if you have any trouble and we can help you out!

There will be a big parking garage with complimentary parking at Assumption Catholic &nbsp;Church. The garage is still in the process of being built.&nbsp;We will have complimentary valet at the reception.&nbsp;

Matt and I spent an entire day here once. It was when we attempted to take the bus for the first time. We unfortunately tried to take a bus that wasn't running and another driver picked us up and brought us to where we needed to go. Embarrassing but showed
the kindness of people. Sue, a t-Rex skeleton, lives at the Field Museum as well as a real life mummy!! It'll take some time but definitely interesting and worth it.&nbsp;

This is a Scolaro favorite for birthdays and special events. The Grand Lux has a huge menu with tons of options. It's located right off Michigan Avenue making it the perfect lunch spot before hitting the stores. Also The Grand Lux is known for its famous
desserts. I swear by the beignets,&nbsp;but my younger sister Juliana says the molten cake is to die for. Both must be ordered 30 minutes ahead of time so order them with your food!

96 floors up, The Signature Room is a great place to enjoy a cocktail while looking out at all of Chicagoland. Matt and I have been here numerous times and enjoy the ambiance and sights.&nbsp;

This was one of the first places I took Matt in Chicago. Some of you, specifically only Abby Schukei, might have heard the sculpture called Cloudgate. The Bean has become a&nbsp;symbol of Chicago and a fantastically cute picture spot!

We love Portillos! This is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. We'd recommend: a Chicago style hotdog, Italian beef, or a chop salad. Also for those with a sweet tooth, grab a chocolate cake shake. That's right... There's a whole piece of rich delicious chocolate cake put into milkshake form. Also one has JUST OPENED in my hometown of Northbrook! Get excited!
