What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail or semi-formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates. Cocktail hour will likely be held outdoors, wear what is comfortable. No jeans and save anything white for the bride!
What is the easiest way to get to your venue?
Routes leading to the venue differ depending on starting location. There are many toll roads in the Orlando area, so please plan accordingly. The address for our venue, Lavender on the Lake, should lead you directly to the building. Once you are driving on Clay Whaley Road, continue to the dead end where the venue is located. Keep an eye out for signs pointing you in the right direction!
What time should I arrive before the ceremony?
Our ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. We recommend arriving at the venue approximately 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to park and find your seat.
Will there be parking at the venue?
Yes, there will be plenty of free parking in front of the venue, a short distance from the building. Both the ceremony and reception will be held in the same location, so no need to move your vehicle.
Can I bring a date or my children?
Due to limited space in the venue, we will only be able to accommodate those guests formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one, there will be a space for them under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. Cocktail hour will be held outdoors while the venue is reset for the reception.
Have you reserved hotel room blocks?
Yes, we have reserved a limited amount of rooms both near the venue and closer to the Orlando airport, or Airbnbs are a great option as well! Please refer to the 'Travel' page for more information.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We have hired professional photographers to capture this special day for us, so please take this opportunity to enjoy it with us! Please turn off all devices during the ceremony, but feel free to pull them back out during the reception. Keep an eye out for our QR coded digital disposable cameras!
What if I don't RSVP on time?
We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as possible to assist in the planning of our wedding. Our venue and vendors require a guest count within a timely manner, so if you are unable to RSVP by the date specified, we will not be able to make exceptions and will have to mark you as 'not attending.' We appreciate your help with this!
Do you have any recommendations for points of interest or things to do in the area?
Yes, we recommend visiting the "Things to Do" page of our wedding website where we have compiled many fun things to do in the area for all ages!
What is the best way to contact you if I have any other questions?
