What time will the shuttle take us to the venue from the JW Marriott?

If you are using shuttle transportation to and from the JW Marriott, the busses will leave at 3 PM SHARP. The venue is roughly 45 minutes away and the ceremony will begin at 4, so we want to make sure everyone arrives on time. If you are running behind, we recommend you leave no later than 3:10.

What time will the shuttle’s leave to go back to the JW Marriott?

11 PM. Due to the very low number of votes for the 8 PM option, we have made the decision to only go with the 11 PM departure. If you know you plan on leaving early at a specific time and won’t be driving, we recommend reserving an Uber or Lyft.

What is the dress code?

Anywhere between cocktail, semi-formal, and formal!

Where should we stay?

We will be staying at the JW Marriott downtown on Thursday and Friday. The shuttle will drop everyone off there. If you want to stay somewhere else, we recommend ride sharing from downtown to your hotel since it will be challenging to get an Uber from the venue.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event.

How soon should we book a hotel?

As soon as possible! Please see the link below to book the stay: http://book.passkey.com/go/SnyderSlegersWedding Many companies (in Austin, there are a lot) have their holiday parties the first Friday of December, so availability will be tight and prices will skyrocket. We have been able to lock the rate at a competitive price, and there is a limit to the number of rooms we have in our block. If you are flying in from out of town, we recommend booking this to save you money!

Will there be shuttle busses?

Yes, there will be shuttle busses both to the venue from the JW Marriott and back to the JW Marriott at the end of the night. There will be two trips back: One at 8 PM, the second one at 11 PM.

Do we have to stay at the JW Marriott?

Nope! You can stay wherever you want. However, do keep in mind that the shuttle will only stop there for drop offs. You may request an Uber from downtown.

Can we Uber instead of taking a shuttle after the wedding?

The venue (The Arlo) is far away, so it will be very challenging and would take a while for it to get there. Dripping Springs hosts a lot of weddings, so it will be hard. We recommend the shuttle if you do not plan on driving. Ubering to the venue however is a bit different as it is easier to get there using Uber than it is to get back.

Will this be indoors or outdoors?

We plan on the ceremony to be outdoors, if weather permits. The reception will be indoors! We will also have a few heaters outside. December is unpredictable, so we recommend a coat, just in case!

I have dietary restrictions. What's the best way to communicate that with you?

We want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day. Please let us know ahead of time about your dietary needs so that we can work with our caterer to see if they can make accommodations.

Can we use our phones during the ceremony to take pictures?

We kindly ask for you to turn off and put your cellphones away during the ceremony. This will be a special moment, so the fewer distractions, the better!

What time is hotel check in?

On the day of the wedding, we have made special accommodations with the JW Marriott to allow early check in at noon. This will allow time to get ready. The shuttle will leave to the venue at 3 PM sharp.
