There are many wineries and distilleries nearby, including Old House Vineyards, Belmont Farms Distillery, and Far Gohn Brewing Company. History enthusiasts will enjoy touring Burgandine House and the Museum of Culpeper History. The historic section of downtown Culpeper offers many boutiques and restaurants to enjoy.

Around Fredericksburg

If you love to learn about our nation's history, you will definitely enjoy many of Fredericksburg's historic attractions! Some of the places we have enjoyed touring over the years include: Hugh Mercer Apothecary Shop, The Rising Sun Tavern, Mary Washington House, George Washington's Ferry Farm, Chatham Manor, and Kenmore House.


Some beautiful nature parks in the area include: Old Mill Park, Motts Run Reservoir Recreational Area, and Curtis Park.


Downtown Fredericksburg has many restaurants and shops to enjoy, as well.

Washington, D.C.

Of course, if you're visiting from far, far away from here, you just have to visit our nation's capital! There's so very much to see and do in and around Washington, D.C. If you decide to go there (and you really should!) check out TripAdvisor.com for the absolute top things to see and do while you're there, and to even book a tour!

Richmond, VA

Richmond, VA is where Nick & Allie live, and there's no shortage of things to do. If you are flying in from RIA, and have a day or two to spare, we recommend enjoying what Virginia's capitol has to offer.


Highlights include:

* Grab a treat from the incredible Sub Rosa Bakery in Churchill

* Take in the views of city along The James at Libby Hill Park (This is perfect when enjoyed with a croissant from Sub Rosa or lunch from Proper Pie Co!)

* Play a round of curious mini golf at Hotel Greene

* Visit the Virginia Museum of Fine Art

* Visit The Poe Museum (Yes-- that Edgar Allen Poe!)

* Enjoy the shops at Carytown

* Check out the beautiful Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens

* Grab a drink at some of our favorite cocktail bars & breweries including Grandstaff & Stein, Garden Grove, Bingo Beer Hall, & The Emerald Lounge
