Our Story

In the quaint town of East Brunswick, New Jersey, two children grew up under the love and care of their two separate families. The universe spoke out as if to say, “These two will be a perfect match!” But they each had their own separate childhood within a 3-minute drive from one another, never chancing upon or hearing tell of one another.

As they grew older, the two children each attended the same day camp in the next town over. “What a fortuitous situation!” the universe cried out. “Surely, these two will meet here!” The two grew from campers to staff members at the day camp. They were both so shy, though! They rarely ventured out of their cliques and made new friends in these days. Summers passed and years rolled by. Never did the two meet at the camp.

Years later, longing to make a connection, they each joined a website. Just as with the summer camp, it was the same site! The universe enlisted the help of his best friend, the algorithm. “I'll make them a match!” exclaimed the algorithm. “Nothing can go wrong this time. You can count on me!” The two matched and a message was sent. They spoke for a bit and then they met. They learned of their East Brunswick and Mill Road Day Camp connections. It had to be love at first sight, didn't it? The universe had deemed it so. Alas, it was not. One telling of this story says they went on one date together. Another telling claims they went on two. Regardless of what the truth may be, there is one thing we know for sure: The two parted ways, seeking other connections in life.

7 years and a number of failed connections later, the two each separately decided to give that same old website another try. “These two again?!” questioned the algorithm. “Why would I match them up again? What'd they go on, two dates? It might have only been one!” In spite of the algorithm's doubts, the two found each other on the site once again. This time, though, something was different. They spoke. They met for dinner. They connected instantly. Far better than they had when they were younger and less mature. This time, they were ready. The universe had thrown things at them to help them grow. Whether those things were love or hardships, it didn't matter. They had made the two into the people they were at this meeting. The two the universe knew were meant to be.

Over the course of the next year and a half or so, the two fell in love, built a life together, and became engaged. On April 6, 2025, they will be wed. Please join them at The American Hotel in Freehold, NJ for the culmination of their love story.
