Smarty Pants was invited to attend an Admiral’s game as a fundraiser & to honor Ms.Tammy (my mom) as the community hero of the game! Well, after brunch, a couple glasses of wine before the game, and tickets that just weren’t loading- I said ‘Ehh, let’s just not go’. Ms. Tammy advised otherwise & we were on our way to the game. One of the little Smarty Pants girls asked me to go down to the ice with her to partake in an activity, that’s when Billy was in charge of interviewing my mom. I got back up to the seats and the first thing my mom said to me was, ‘I just met your future husband!’


Later in the game all the kids got to be on the Jumbotron while they played Baby Shark. My mom saw this as her opportunity to introduce Billy & I. There was a handshake & a hi, and that was it.


That night, I got a ding on my phone saying I had a new Instagram message. That’s right- Billy slid into my DMs 😉


We went on our first date a couple weeks later, & the rest is history! ❤️
