WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The wedding ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:00 pm, guests are able (and encouraged) to arrive up to half n hour early. Cocktail hour and reception to follow.
WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The ceremony will be held outdoors under a covered patio at The Riverview. The Cocktail hour and Reception to follow will be indoors with access to the outdoors patio.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The recommended dress code is semi-fomal or cocktail attire and we encourage you to mix it up a bit, wear that fun outfit you haven't had a chance to yet!
HOW SHOULD I RSVP?
To RSVP, you can either use the tear-able RSVP postcard on the bottom of the invite, and/or click the 'RSVP' tab and type the name(s) listed on your envelope. Feel free to RSVP both ways!
If you RSVP online, add your favorite song request you want to dance to that night!
Kindly RSVP before Saturday, September 21st. If you are unable to attend we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Any RSVPs received after this date will be marked as a 'no' as we will be sending the final headcount to the venue shortly after this deadline - you will be missed!
IS THERE AN EXTRA FOOD OPTION IN THE ONLINE RSVP?
Short answer, Yes.
After we printed the physical invitations our venue informed us we were allowed to add an additional food option for our guests at no cost. Instead of changing all the printed invitations we just added it to the online RSVP. If you would like the salmon as your dinner option but still want to send in the physical RSVP as well, please write-in "Salmon" for your dinner choice on the RSVP card.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to have a plus one.
While we wish we could accommodate everyone, our venue does have limited space. It will be indicated on your envelope or online RSVP if you may bring a guest. Most of the envelopes will say "and guest" or have all the names of your invited party listed. Thank you for understanding and feel free to reach out with any questions!
WHAT DO I DO IF I AM LATE TO THE CEREMONY?
If you are late to the ceremony you can watch from inside the reception area through the venue windows. Someone will be there to let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you will need to wait until the ceremony is over. If that happens, you will still be able to attend the reception, so hang tight! We'll look forward to partying with you after the ceremony. Thank you for understanding :)
IS THERE PARKING?
Yes! There is plenty of parking at both the venue and the Simsbury Inn in front and off to the sides. If you are staying at the hotel feel free to park there and a shuttle will be provided to and from the venue that night. Please don't drink and drive! If you need to use uber/lyft from the venue at the end of the night the venue allows for cars to stay parked overnight as long as they are picked up the next day.
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you - get ready to party!! For this reason we encourage you to uber/lyft to and from the venue if you aren't staying overnight at the hotel. Please make sure you have a way to get home safely :)
ARE KIDS WELCOME?
We kindly request that this be an adults only event with the exception of children in the bridal party. However, we hope and encourage you to see this evening as a "night out" or a fun date night for yourselves!
HOW DOES SEATING WORK?
The ceremony will be open seating, so sit wherever you please! However, please allow for family to have the first couple rows.
For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those that they know (or their plus one or partner). Seating chart will be displayed at the venue.
CAN WE TAKE OUR OWN PHOTOS / VIDEOS DURING THE CEREMONY?
For the ceremony, we ask our guests to try to keep their phones away. That way you are able to be fully present, celebrate and be in the moment with us! We ask that our guests silence/turn off their phones and try to refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony.
However you are more than welcome, and strongly encouraged, to take photos and videos throughout the course of the reception!
