Ally and Logan met the old-fashioned way—by swiping right on Hinge. Their first date was at Drakes in downtown San Carlos, just a few blocks from where Ally and her roommate lived. As the conversation flowed, they quickly discovered how much they had in common: they’re both family-oriented, love playing golf (with varying levels of skill), drive Jeep Wranglers, and never miss a chance to cheer on their favorite sports teams. After a few drinks—and coming in dead last at a trivia night they didn’t know was happening—they both left knowing there was something different about this one.

As their relationship grew (unlike Logan’s golf game), they made the most of their time together. On weekdays, Logan would head to San Carlos after work to see Ally, and on weekends, Ally drove from San Francisco to San Jose just to spend time with him (sorry about the gas money, Ally)! Eventually, after months of living out of duffel bags, they took the next step and moved in together in San Carlos. Now they enjoy watching the dog park across the street from their balcony, visits to their favorite taproom, Out of the Barrel, easier commutes to work, strolls through downtown, and quick rides on Caltrain to catch some not-so-great Giants baseball.

Three years later, Logan knew it was time to propose—naturally, on a golf course. Before he could pop the question, he had to make it through nine holes with a father and son duo they were paired with. Luckily, they only played the front nine, leaving Logan in the clear on the back. On a par-three, as Ally teed off and shanked her shot right, she turned around to see Logan down on one knee, asking her to be his golf partner for life. Stunned and surprised (unlike her golf shot) Ally said YES!

Now, Ally and Logan can’t wait to tee up the next chapter and celebrate with everyone this April!
