Q + A

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 5. They don’t call it “snail mail” for nothing, so an online RSVP is preferred!

Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation envelope.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. It could be chilly, so I recommend a jacket just in case!

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 40 minutes to an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Both the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all take place at Marblegate Farm (308 McReynolds Rd, Friendsville, TN 37737).

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

When you arrive to Marblegate Farm, continue down the road and follow the signs that lead you to a large gravel parking lot. There will be parking attendants to assist. Parking is free, however there is NO overnight parking. If you don’t plan to take the provided transportation and will not be able to drive after the event, please consider taking a rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc.). The venue will lock the gate after the event, and you will not be able to retrieve your car the next day.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

The reception hall is completely wheelchair accessible. If you need any assistance on the property, there are employee-operated golf carts available to help you.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes! 30-seat shuttles will pick up guests from both the Courtyard by Marriott Knoxville Downtown Hotel and the Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown Hotel. They will begin picking guests up at 3 p.m. Please be outside waiting to ensure you get a spot! After the event ends at 10 p.m., the shuttles will take guests back to the hotel.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place down by the lake with chairs set up in the grass (ladies keep grass in mind when picking out those heels). The dinner portion will be held inside, and we will migrate back outside the dining room doors for the reception. There will be heaters for the guests not breaking a sweat on the dance floor!

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to cocktail hour where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

The band will stop playing at 10 p.m. and the newly weds will do their sparkler exit. From there, the shuttles will take guests back to the hotel downtown. The band will announce at the end of the night where the party will continue downtown!

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly
