Our Wedding

Ally and Jesse first met through their church group at a family dinner in December of 2023 and started off as friends, which was a lot of fun. They both had a similar sense of humor, common interest in camping, being outdoors, and both aspired to seek Jesus in all that they do.&nbsp; After getting to know Ally more as a friend, Jesse was definitely impressed with her decision to pursue a full-time career switch to being a Pilates Instructor and admired her cooking skills; she can sure chef it up. Ally liked how Jesse sought to love others in the group well and found him really funny even though everyone knew he was a goofball. Not many people could make her laugh on a tough day, but Jesse could.&nbsp; After being friends for several months, they decided to take a chance and try dating each other in September of 2024. and it was a fun start! Their first date was a day trip to Inks Lake State Park where they got to hike, swim, and talk more deeply about what they wanted their lives to look like which helped them realize they had a lot more in common than they thought.&nbsp; A fun fact from their first date: Jesse’s check engine light was on in his 4-Runner so they decided to take Ally’s car instead which Jesse accidentally knocked the front bumper off her car (in his defense it was kinda already on its last leg lol). When they got back to Austin, Jesse and Ally worked together as a team to fix it and ended up with a really sweet moment they still look back on today. They made their relationship official about a month later while stargazing in South Austin.&nbsp; So Jesse and Ally started doing life together a bit more; Paddle boarding, watching football, working out together (which Jesse’s core hated), cooking yummy food, dancing, and taking Wrigley (Ally’s dog) for lots of walks. They were honestly becoming best friends and realized they were with the person they didn’t want to change and were falling in love with each other for who they are and who God is shaping them to be.&nbsp; 8 months later, Jesse took Ally for a camping trip back to where they had their first date, Inks Lake. He took her for a small hike to Stumpy Hollow, where he could propose just as the Sun was setting. When Ally turned around to look to the East behind her, she saw a beautiful rainbow. Jesse was overwhelmed with nerves and excitement all at once, so he asked if they could pray together.&nbsp; After praying, he reached for his bag on the boulder they were sitting on, grabbed the beautiful ring, and proposed to her. Thankfully, Ally said… YES and was so excited to marry Jesse - her best friend, her sous chef, her workout partner and handy man (sometimes lol). As we approach marriage, we are most looking forward to the sanctification aspect. Although it will be challenging to grow together, communicate effectively, and remain in sync, it will all be worth it for God’s glory and it is our hope that people will see the love of Christ in this marriage.&nbsp; On another note, Ally said she’s so excited to hang out with Jesse on football Sundays because he won’t have to leave home. And Jesse is looking forward to dancing a lot more with Ally in the kitchen to Chris Stapleton. This celebration is not just about the couple. It is about the love that God has shown everyone through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He laid his life down for Ally, Jesse, and you so that we all may live with God for eternity. We invite you to celebrate this beautiful covenant with us and want to leave you with these verses below from Ephesians.&nbsp; Ephesians 5:25-33 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Things to consider: We are getting married the first weekend of October, which is exciting! However, it's also the first weekend of ACL, so we recommend booking any travel or accommodations early to ensure there's no price gouging or unavailability. The Venue is located in South Austin, so even hotels in Buda or Kyle are only a 30 minute drive.
