Our Wedding

Mason and Ally went on their first date June 27th, 2019. They went to The Ranger Icecream in Sidman, PA. Ally got a cookie dough swirl and Mason got a blue goo! After this date they hung out every single day until Ally left for her first year of college at Allegheny. The longest they have been apart since they started dating is 23 days which took place during Allys preseason of golf. After this Mason and Ally would start a routine that they would carry on for 6 years… they would meet up at the Simmers farm and hangout every weekend even if that meant driving 3 hours home from Allegheny every weekend. 

2019

The year Covid sent us home from college. Ally was supposed to leave a few days prior for her golf spring break trip with Allegheny then next thing they knew that was cancelled and everything was shut down. Ally came home that weekend like normal but was told not to return to campus until further notice… they didn’t listen. Mason and Ally planned a black oops mission to Allegheny to collect all of her things because they knew she wasn’t going back anytime soon. Neither of them were upset because they knew this meant unlimited hangout time for the first time in a year! They both worked a lot that summer but would always end each night at someone’s house to eat Applebees take out after Allys shift there and masons shift at the homestead… this was also the first year Mason came on family vacation… and when we found out he absolutely cannot swim!

2020

We spent the beginning of this year still in lockdown for Covid… both working our jobs and going to college mostly all online. We would both sit and zoom into our classes together at home, work on assignments together, this time really allowed for us to get to know each other because we spent practically everyday together for a year. Mason was basically adopted into the family at this point, adding his requests onto the grocery list, putting in input for what was for dinner that night, etc… They went to the Rocky Mountains that summer for vacation and also went back to Destin Fl! Around this time is also when they both found their love for the drive inn movies because this was one of the only date nights they could do during Covid! In the beginning of the next school year Ally went back to Allegheny where Covid precautions where still very strict. She was basically confined to her room and decided to look into transferring schools which is how she ended up at Penn state. It was very difficult for Mason and Ally to go from seeing eachother everyday back to only on the weekends. They both kept their head down, FaceTimed constantly, finished the semester and got through the end of 2021!
