Meg and Ally first became friends during college in 2015. Meg went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, while Ally attended the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. Their paths crossed through mutual acquaintances, leading them to become part of the same friend group. Throughout their time in college, Ally frequently visited Madison, and Meg made trips to Milwaukee.

In October 2018, Meg and Ally went to Las Vegas with a group of friends, where their bond deepened into a romantic love. The saying, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" did not apply to them, as they soon began dating. Eventually, Meg moved in with Ally where they had a dog named Tank and a cat named Daisy. Meg and Ally soon adopted two other cats, Max and Gustav.

In July 2022, Ally proposed to Meg. She had the ring for a few weeks and initially planned to propose to Meg on a family trip. The excitement got the best of her, and she decided to do it at home instead. It turned out to be the perfect moment, as it was in the comfort of their home where they felt most at ease. Meg and Ally celebrated their engagement at a Brewers game.

The last six years have been amazing for them, filled with Brewers and Bucks games, vacations, quality time with friends and family, and of course, being proud pet parents.
