Everyone always asks how we first met. But honestly, neither of us remember because we were babies. We had been in the same playgroup since 1 and had started attending the same elementary school.

We also went to the same middle and high school where we became closer friends. We loved going to the park and playing basketball together (Daniel definitely always lost).

And then we (finally) started dating in our senior year of high school. Our first date was going to eat frozen yogurt at Sweet Frogs.

Some of our favorite memories from high school together were our senior year prom, going to Carolina Beach for spring break, and cheering on our friends at sporting events.

We graduated! Before we started dating, we enrolled in different colleges. Ally attended NC State for Biomedical Engineering, and Daniel attended Liberty for Strategic Communications.

Since we went to schools in different states, we tried to visit each other as much as possible. But for the most part, our relationship consisted of lots of texts and Facetime calls.

This was our first Christmas together. During Christmastime, we love to ice skate and drive past Christmas lights together.

We loved spending time together over the summers because we were both in the same city again. After finishing our first year of long-distance, we visited the sunflowers at Dorothea Dix Park and have gone back every year since.

Whenever we could see each other during the school year, you could always catch us going to our favorite restaurant, Torchy's Tacos, and building Legos together.

We never could spend our anniversary together because of the long distance. But we celebrated each anniversary by going to Topsail Beach. We always loved searching for shells.

After 3 years of long-distance, Daniel decided to finish his 4th and final year online and move back home. We were looking forward to spending our senior year together!

The day after Daniel moved back home, he popped the question! We went to the JC Raulston Arboretum where a blanket and flowers were set up in a gazebo. Special shoutout to our Best Man, Zach, and Maid of Honor, Olivia, for setting everything up! Afterward, we had a surprise engagement party with friends and family. We can't wait to see how the rest of our story unfolds!
