Ally and Justin knew each other from high school but didn’t start talking until the fall of 2014. They were both doing the victory lap in high school and had a mutual friend that invited them both to Halloween haunt. Both being the courteous people that they are, Ally and Justin stayed to the back of the group when waiting to get into mazes, so naturally they got to talking. They had a very easy time talking to one another, and for Ally the attraction was instant.

When they went back to school, they kept finding they would bump into each other, and again when they saw one another they couldn’t help but engage in conversation. Justin couldn’t help but notice Ally blushing, and Ally always wondered if they were really “bumping into each other “ by accident when she would see Justin standing near her locker. This went on for awhile, and it wasn’t until March that Ally asked Justin out on a date to Tip n Sip, the café right by the school. Justin unfortunately couldn’t make it as his ride had already arrived, but this left the ball in Justin’s court.

A few days later, Ally joined Justin at the library, sitting with him and his friends. Justin then asked Ally to join him and some friends to a movie called “Chappy” and wrote down his number for her on a tiny sheet of paper. It was a movie about a robot, and really not Ally’s type of movie but she was so into Justin, that she of course agreed to go. The date did not go so well for Ally; she embarrassed herself in front of Justin’s friends, after saying “you made out with a hot dog” to his friend Brandon (who later agrees to be Justin’s groomsman).

Luckily for Ally, Justin didn’t seem to care, and when she asked if he would meet her at Starbucks the next night, he said yes. The Starbucks date went very well, Justin did most of the talking, asking Ally the best questions. Believe it or not, Ally was the quiet one. They closed down the coffee shop and Justin invited Ally for a second date to Sushi.

From that point on, we can say the rest is history. Justin and Ally both went to Western where they continued to date and get to know each other very well, and they truly got to see one another grow into successful adults. From exams, to Covid, to floods, these two have gotten through it all and look very forward to their wedding day. It only took 8 years to get to this point, and neither one of them could be more excited. The happy couple looks forward to celebrating their love with all of you on June 15, 2024 at the Ancaster mill. They cannot wait to see you there.
