Our story began in the fall of 2021. Jacob and I both lived in Young Life houses off campus of OSU, and my senior year Jacob moved in next door. I only had a few encounters with Jacob before I decided I really wanted to get to know him and that he seemed different from everyone else. Our roommates and friends slowly started to work behind the scenes to see if they could make this happen. After Jacob and I both got home from separately serving as leaders at a Young life event one weekend, he knocked on my door and asked me on a date. Of course I said yes, and we sat across from each other one night drinking iced chai lattes and talking for about 3 hours. Soon after that he asked me to be his girlfriend and on May 4th I get to be his forever.

Jacob and I would not be here today if it weren't for God's loving hand in our lives. We both came into relationship with Jesus Christ through Young Life in high school and now spend most of our time with high school students, walking along side them and telling them how loved they are by the God of the universe. We are most excited to get married and be able to lead Young Life together and just follow God wherever He leads us. Looking back on our lives, we see that God was orchestrating something better in this relationship than anything we could have ever asked for or imagined. We really believe that we are the luckiest people in the world to have each other and every one in our lives along side us in this season and for the rest of our lives.
