Alec and Ally met through a mutual group of friends during our freshman year at GCU. We made some of our fondest memories getting to be at this age where you are in between being a kid and an adult. We were nothing more than friends in the same group during this time, and looking back, we would not change a thing for the world. This year in our lives was pure bliss just the way it was.

Red, Wet & Blue: our intramural inner tube water polo team 🇺🇸 We hung out in this group of friends constantly, it was a blessing to know one another as friends first, before entering into a relationship down the road. (Alec came up with the team name, of course)

We began year two at GCU with a bang— a hiking trip with friends through Bishop Pass in CA! (Still just friends at this point)

A huge friend-group trip to Oceanside, CA. Ally finally found out Alec liked her, but she was not yet ready to date, which he was more than okay with. They got to spend the next month getting to know each other on a deeper level, and strengthen their friendship.

Alec officially asked Ally to be his girlfriend. She said yes, of course!

Our first and only (so far) race together, and a muddy one at that! Couples who do mud runs together, stay together.

Alec proclaimed his faith in front of the church and got baptized alongside his sister, Aria, brother-in-law, Brenden and Ally's cousin, Brooklyn! Such a happy day.

We danced our booties off at our best friends Grayson & Lyla's wedding. This day gave Alec and Ally a glimpse into what it would be like for them to one day get married and have all their favorite people surrounding them at their own wedding. Dreamers back then, but boy are we in this thing for the long haul now!

a "medium-distance" summer meant countless facetime calls during lunch breaks. Our hearts truly grew fonder of one another during this time. Who knew you could miss someone so much?

Our last first day of school EVER. We are forever grateful for the memories, people and love that GCU brought us. We most likely would have never met if it weren't for this college. Go lopes!

Ally graduated from GCU with her family and Alec (of course) by her side, cheering her on!

Alec's turn to walk across the stage! So beyond grateful for the three years we both got at GCU. Lopes up, and Lopes OUT!!!

We had the amazing privilege of traveling the world with our best friends as a celebration of graduating college! We got to visit Amsterdam, Munich and Paris! Memories we will remember forever made with wonderful people. Thank you, Jesus!

Our other besties got married and we got to be in the wedding party! HOW FUN! Aria (Alec's sister) married the love of her life, Brenden, on Mama Dyson's 50th birthday. A day that will surely go down in Dyson Family history! Fun fact: Alec asked Ally's Dad, Randy, for permission to marry her on this day. He said yes, if you couldn't tell ;)

In the same place they started dating, Alec got down on his knee and asked Ally to marry him. She joyfully agreed, and could not be more excited to be his wife! TYJ we get to love each other everyday for the rest of our lives.
