Q + A

What's the dress code?

We are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up in Cocktail attire, though we kindly ask all guests dress modestly while at the church. You’re welcome to wear your favorite jewel tones, Fall colors, or any fun colors and patterns you like!

What time should we be there?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm. The Marriage Rite with the exchange of vows & rings is fairly quick, and will be immediately followed by a Nuptial Mass. Please plan to arrive at the church with ample time to park and find your seats.

Where should we park?

The church parking lot has plenty of room for guests to park. You can enter through the gates located on W 27th Street.

Woah, Latin? Can you tell me more about the ceremony?

JP & Allysia will be receiving the Sacrament of Matrimony in a traditional Catholic Marriage rite at the church. This is when the priest, and all of our dear guests, will witness their marriage vows and they become husband and wife. The Marriage Rite will be followed immediately by the Nuptial Mass, which will be celebrated in Latin–the traditional language of the Catholic Church. (Booklets containing the English translations will be available for anyone who would like to read along during Mass.) The Mass will also include a special blessing for the newlyweds and a final admonition, reminding them of their responsibility to lead holy lives through the vocation of marriage. You can find some visitors' information from the church here: https://www.stbensfw.org/new-to-the-parish

Are we supposed to follow along and participate during Mass?

We understand that it can be a little overwhelming attending a Latin Mass for the very first time. Have no fear! For those new to the Latin Mass, or to attending any form of Catholic Mass in general, you participate simply by your presence. Though all are welcome to use the booklets provided to read along, some may prefer to simply sit and observe the beauty and mystery of the traditional Mass. Along with the gift of your presence, we invite you to pray with us (and for us) as we embark on our new life as husband and wife. If you have ANY questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

Where should we send gifts?

Our registry is set to deliver all gift packages to the address where we’ll be living after the wedding (JP’s address.) Our registry also contains a link to contribute to our cash funds, and there will be a small area for placing cards and smaller gift items at the reception venue.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us!
