Is everyone invited to the showers invited to the wedding?
We have decided to have a smaller wedding ceremony in Colorado, and larger bridal showers in Iowa. We’ll be sending out invites to each corresponding to the respective events.

Accommodations
————————————————————————
Where should we stay for the event?
The event will be held at The Landing, in Estes Park Colorado. The wedding party will be staying onsite at the Landing, but all other guests should make other arrangements. We’ve talked with the owners of several resorts/cabins around the venue, and will have details soon on how to book with places within walking distance of the venue. Otherwise, anywhere within Estes Park should do fine!
How should we get too/from the event?
The venue will have parking sufficient to accommodate all guests. Overflow parking will be across the street from the venue, and ushers will place signs out in the event we need to use said parking.
Can we hangout at the Landing outside of event hours?
We are restricted with the number of guests we can have onsite at the venue outside of the event time (due to insurance reasons), so please refrain from hanging out at the Landing unless you are in the wedding party and staying onsite at the Landing.

How should I RSVP?
While we’d love to hear from you directly about attending our wedding, please also fill out the RSVP form on this webpage so we can get accurate numbers for the event.
Are children allowed??
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the event.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We’re choosing to have a smaller wedding with a total number of attendees under 120. Because of this, we ask that you don’t bring +1’s unless specified in your invitation. We believe we’ve accounted for +1’s for everyone in their invite, but please don’t hesitate to reach out if you find you need an additional +1 we missed and we can work with you.

Will I be fed at this event?
Yes!! We’ll have several opportunities for food/drink during our wedding. The food is American food supplied by https://greenspointcatering.com/ .
- Prior to the reception there will be coffee/tea/lemonade/water available for guests as they wait.
- Following the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with appetizers.
- During the reception there will be a full dinner served, followed by desserts.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, and the reception will be indoors. If inclimate weather pops up, we’ll move the ceremony indoors as well.
Whats the dress code for this wedding?
“Look nice”. aka “we don’t have a formalized dress code”. The most important thing for us is that our guests are comfortable and can enjoy themselves. Generally speaking, we ask that you simply “look nice” for our event, but we’re leaving the definition of that up to every person. Dress as formal or informal as you like!
Can I take photos during the event?
We ask that during the ceremony, all phones be turned off or at least silenced and put away. We’ll have a photographer capturing the Ceremony, and will be more than happy to share photos of the event with anyone interested afterwards. During the reception, feel free to take as many incriminating photos as your heart desires.

Dr. Ally Atzen’s tips for Surviving and Thriving in Colorado
————————————————————————
Our wedding will be in Estes Park Colorado, which sits at an elevation of ~7600ft. For those that haven’t been up at elevation before, I’ve outlined some tips below that should help you to feel great and avoid getting altitude sickness while visiting here! Please don’t be afraid of the altitude, as it’s relatively easy to mitigate the effects with some mild preparation and alterations.
1) Hydrate, hydrate, and say it with me now, HYDRATE. Most altitude sickness is brought up by dehydration, so the most important thing in avoiding it is to stay hydrated in the first place. The easiest way to do this is to drink more water than you otherwise would in the week leading up to visiting, and continuing to drink an above average amount of water while you are here. We’ve found that things like LiquidIV, Gatorlyte, or any form of consuming additional electrolyte’s can help stave off dehydration, but be sure to drink plenty of water along side one of these and don’t overdo it on the electrolyte’s.
2) Due to the elevation, the effects of the sun are greatly increased in Colorado. That means it’s far easier to get a sunburn here, so please take precautions. Sunscreen is a must if you’re planning on spending a significant amount of time outside, and hats and sunglasses are your best friend.
3) Due to a combination of the elevation and climate, Colorado is quite a bit dryer than most places. The average humidity in Estes Park for instance is roughly HALF what it is in Des Moines. This causes skin to dry easier, lips to dry out, and hair to act differently. Lotion and chapstick are your best friends.
4) The air is thinner at elevation, so make sure that you account for that in your planned activities. You will get out of breath easier here and that’s normal, so make sure to not push yourself beyond what you would normally.
