You know when you meet someone and you don’t know how or why you just know they will always be a part of your life?

Zack is that person to me.

Off the bat we instantly became close. Even just starting as friends, Zack was the first person I would run to whenever anything would happen. We spent almost every day together, and before we knew it, we were inseparable. As if it were a part of our daily routine, we would hang out for hours, constantly laugh at the world around us, and take on every day with a new perspective of how to make the best out of each others company.

Of course, there were other friends and family in our life we could not live without, but it always came back to him and I. We were soulmates, even if we didn’t know it yet - or better yet even if I didn’t know it then. Unknown to me, Zack expressed to our closest friends how he felt, but wanted to wait for just the right time to let me in on the secret.

Going into senior year at GSW, we had a “family dinner” with my roommate similar to any other night. While cleaning up and washing dishes, there was this beautiful, natural moment where he simply asked me to be his girlfriend.

To his surprise (and excitement) I said yes.

Naturally his first reaction was to scream up the stairs to tell my maid of honor that I was his girlfriend, and then he picked me up in his arms and kissed me.

Our first date was that weekend. Zack picked me up at my front door with a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers and took us to one of the nicest restaurants in Macon. The food and company was unmatched, but the drive home is a great story for another time. Just know, in that moment I knew I would never be bored a day in my life and we had only just scratched the surface of the fun we would find ourselves in since then.

Over the last three years, we have traveled across the world and back, been through many milestones-both high and low, and have found ourselves where we are today… Getting married!

There are so many stories we could tell you, but for now, just know we laugh every day, love every minute, and are unafraid of whatever life throws at us as long as we have each other.

We want to thank you all for being so supportive and such meaningful influences in our lives. We look forward to celebrating our marriage with each and every single one of you.
