Our Wedding

<p>Our story is not the typical “fall in love” story. Our story was years in the making. Mat and I have known each other for what seems like forever! We initially met through my older brother, Zach. Mat and Zach hung out together as kids. We spent a year of high school together, me a freshman, him a senior, both just living our teenage lives. When I was a senior in high school, we became better friends. I always had a crush on Mat, but this time was different. I graduated high school and went off to college. During college, I started a new job outside of Auburn. At this point I hadn’t seen or heard from Mat in years. While working, I heard what I thought was his voice, anyone who knows Mat knows his voice is very distinct! I immediately got nervous and all of those feelings came rushing back in an instant! We said “Hey, what’s up” and caught up for a few minutes. A few days later I gathered up the courage to get ahold of him to ask him on a date. We met at a little coffee shop right in downtown Auburn. After that, we began talking more and more getting to know each other more than ever before. He invited me to his cousins birthday wine tour and I definitely couldn’t say no! This day was the turning point where our friendship became a little bit more, we shared our first kiss. After that day, I knew there was nobody else I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Since then, we’ve built and created the most incredible family. First, I moved into the Swift St apartment. Here, we adopted our first kitty, Tux. About a year later, we gave Tux a friend, Georgie. A couple of months after adopting Georgie, we bought our first home! Then March 2020, right when the world shut down, we took a 3 hour drive to get our new puppy, Honey. The pandemic hit everyone really hard and we were both essential employees who still had to report to work “as normal”. Having our 3 fur babies made the shut down a little more bearable. Then November 17, 2020, Mat got down on one knee and asked me for forever ❤️ Obviously I said yes or you wouldn’t be reading this! Two months later we found out we were expecting our very own! September 3, 2021 our lives changed in the most incredible way. Our story is just beginning and we can’t wait for everyone to celebrate this next chapter with us.</p>
