Our love story starts on a dating app of all places, in the year 2020. We had an instant connection the night we matched, and talked for hours on the phone, both hoping it would turn into something more. Many people remember March 13, 2020 as the day the world shut down for the Covid-19 pandemic, but for us, that day was also our first date. We grabbed Chick-fil-A and spent two-and-a-half hours talking about everything from our childhood memories to Star Wars films. We spent quarantine talking on FaceTime and texting, and reunited on June 26th, 2020---the day Will asked Alma to be his girlfriend! Both of us graduated with our degrees in May 2023 and have since started our Master's in Architecture and English Literature, respectively. On the Whatley family vacation to Turks and Caicos Islands in June 2024, Will proposed!

After the wedding, we are moving to Washington D.C. to begin our first chapter as a married couple. Alma will attend Georgetown Law School and Will has begun the job search!
